A loan helped a member to buy piglets and food for the pigs.

Na Tau 25 Group's story

Mrs. Ui is a 27-year-old Thai lady who has been married and become the mother of two girls aged one and nine. She lives with her husband and her two daughters in a Thai ethnic traditional house in a small remote village. Her family has encountered plenty of difficulties because of poverty, but she has still tried hard to send her first-born daughter to school fully with the hope of a brighter future for her through good education.

To provide for the family, Mrs. Ui and her husband work very hard at agricultural production with several activities such as growing rice and breeding pigs, chicken, ducks and fish. However, they lack capital for increasing production. As a result, Mrs. Ui has decided to request a loan at the Anh Chi Em Program. This is the first time that she has taken out a loan from the Program and she will use the loan to buy piglets and food for the pigs. She hopes that her investment will go well and bring good income to her family, especially when she knows that Anh Chi Em also provides good agricultural training and counseling along with the loan. Mrs. Ui dreams that her family will escape from poverty and that her children will be successful in their careers and in life. In the picture, she stands first from the right.
