Gulchehra is 40 years old, married, and has two children. In 2005 she started farming. Today she has a 1.0 hectare land plot on which she cultivates onions. Her children and husband help around the farm. Gulchehra's monthly income from the business is about 13,000 som (KGS).
She has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) in order to buy fertilisers and harvest organic onions. The funds from the loan will allow Gulchehra to develop her business and let her children get a worthy higher education.
