A loan helped to buy a solar lighting system which will improve the living conditions at her home.

Elia's story

Elia is a 25 years old woman. She is very entrepreneurial because she has been breeding pigs and bees during approximately 10 years together with her husband. She manages to keep her house with the income she earns with this work, and to give everything available to her means to her two young children.

She wishes to continue making efforts and working more so that her children can receive a good education and be good people for their communities and country.

They do not have access to electricity in the Atlántida community, Honduras, where Elia and her family live. Therefore, the daily tasks and chores, like having better lighting, charging mobile phones or simply having a recreational moment become complicated for that reason.

Elia wants to give a better quality of life to her children and husband, and for that reason she is requesting a loan to Soluz to buy a solar system that will help her and her family to have better lightning, access to charge their mobile phones and save money in the purchase of candles and kerosene lamps. Moreover, her children will not be affected by the lack of lightning when they will reach the age to start studying.
