Elena is a 35 year old woman. She is married with a beautiful family with three children between the ages of 10 and 16. This family lives in a community in the village of San Miguelito.
10 years ago Elena (first from the right side of the photograph) decided to choose a job that would allow her to obtain a better income to satisfy her family's needs. The job that she chose was coffee production. Thanks to her care and dedication, this job has allowed her to provide her children with the necessities. Elena, along with a group of women who have the same needs, is requesting a loan to invest in buying fertilizer and to pay labor costs for maintaining her coffee crop. With this loan, she hopes to be able to produce good coffee yields. Her hope in life is to improve her living standards.
