Mrs. Ermelinda is 43 years old and lives in the community of Big Ancon, a region known for its grape production. She's married and with her husband they have their own land, almost an acre, which they've been working on for more than 18 years. They produce and sell grapes from the variety "the favorite" and "moscatel".
They come from a humble and hard working family with good values. They couldn't complete their studies for financial reasons and instead have been working in agriculture since they were very young. They live day to day fighting for their sustenance and the education of their family.
Mrs. Ermelinda needs the loan to buy seedlings of moscatel grapes which were offered to her at a good price. This will benefit her because it will increase her production by making use of land that is not currently being cultivated. In this way they will be able to improve her income and give her family better living conditions.
