Roeun is a 47-year-old married woman and resides in the Kampong Cham province. She is blessed with two dependent children. In order to make a living, she grows rice and raises chickens. She has been involved in her farming business for 29 years. The obstacle she faces in this business is the lack of working capital to afford rice and fuel, which are high in price.
Roeun is leading a group of three members to apply for a loan from VisionFund. As the group leader, she will use her loan to buy organic fertilizer to improve her farmland and protect her farm from being destroyed by insects. Moreover, some portion of her loan will be used to buy fuel for a pumping machine. She hopes that her crop will produce more yields so that she can upgrade her standard of living and expand her current business.
