Grace's story

Grace is a well known farmer, mainly dealing in tea farming in Kigondo village, Kakanju parish, Busheny District. She started this project in 2007 and she has managed to sustain her family of four children. Her side income is goats rearing and coffee farming and this has helped her earn some good money to support her family. She was born in1969. Her children are aged 16, 13, 10 and 7 years old respectively, all her kids are in school.

This is her second loan cycle from UGAFODE MDI and she is taking a loan of ugx2,000,000 to buy fertilizers for manuring her tea estate to increase the yields and family sustainability. She is an honest and hard working lady. She sells her coffee to coffee factories around Bushenyi District. She is faced with the challenge of price fluctuations that affects the harvest. Her vision is to educate all her children. She says UGAFODE MDI staff has a good customer care.
