Ayishetu is a 41-year-old hardworking woman from Dimonaayili in the Northern region of Ghana. Ayishetu is married and has 6 children. She is the woman measuring locally-processed rice with a bowl in the basin whiles squatting in the group photo.
Ayishetu is a member of a par-boiled rice processing group that has been in business for close to two decades. The name of the group is ‘Bela N Nabra - Dimonaayili’. She earns a good profit from the business and loves doing the business. The group has been trained on improved methods of processing the par-boiled rice such that they can always produce premium quality for their customers in Ghana.
Ayishetu and ‘Bela N Nabra - Dimonaayili’ have asked for a loan of GHC 10,900.00 after having paid off their previous loan of GHC 8,200.00. Ayishetu's share of the current loan is GHS 700.00, which would be used to buy more paddy rice from local rice farmers for processing. She would earn more income as a result and would pay back this loan and support her family as usual. Her children are happy for her love and care for them.
Ayishetu thanks Kiva lenders for their support.
