A loan helped to buy fertilizers and to pay for harvesting of eco-friendly rice.

Bahrinsa's story

Bahrinsa is 49 years old, married, and has children and grandchildren. She started doing agricultural work in 2005. She owns four cows. On her land plot of 2.7 ha [6.7], she has been growing rice for sale. Her husband provides services as a tractor operator locally. Bahrinsa’s monthly revenue is approximately 32,000 soms (KGS).

In order to develop her business further, Bahrinsa has applied to the Bai Tushum microfinance association for a loan in the amount of 50,000 KGS to buy fertilizers and harvest environmentally clean rice. Bahrinsa plans to use the revenues from her loan for further business growth.
