Ruth is a hardworking 44 year old woman. She is married and the mother of a seven year old daughter, for whom she works day to day to give her a better future. She has sold pastries as a street vendor for seventeen years. She is asking for her eighth loan from the institution to buy flour, chicken, cheese and pineapple. One of her goals is to have a used clothing store. With the profits she earned from the previous loan she was able to buy a television.
