Christine's story

Christine is married with seven children, four of whom go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a business of selling used clothes and has been in this business for four years.

Christine has applied for a loan of 400,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy a bale of used clothes. She works six days a week on a retail basis. Her major business challenges include seasonality of clothes. She aspires to buy a plot of land. She resides in a rented house and her family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent, food, and school fees.
