A loan helped to buy new supplies for her shop.

Leila's story

After having 5 years experience as an outdoor sales representative, Leila opened her own shop one year ago, where she sells underwear, hair gel and home cleaning supplies. She is Lebanese, living in Tripoli with her husband. Together they have 4 sons and 2 daughters, who are just as hard-working as their parents. While Leila's husband works in sanitary product sales, her eldest son works in a popular restaurant in the area and the middle one works in a coffee shop. Her other children are in their last years of high school and will be graduating in the upcoming years.

Leila is 57 years old and, after raising her 6 children, she is now focusing on supporting her husband in covering the family expenses. She is asking for a 1,234,327 Lebanese pounds loan for the first time from Kiva partner Ibdaa. She is planning on using the amount to buy new supplies to sell in her shop.
