Fortunee's story

Fortunee is a first-year student at Kepler. She grew up with her eight siblings on a farm in a rural area of Rwanda. After a rigorous application process based on grades, test scores, and personal interviews, she was accepted from over 6,000 applicants this year. She chose Kepler because of its academic rigor and reputation for job placement. Fortunee plans to support her family through her career in the private sector as she knows her parents will eventually have to retire from work in agriculture due to the intensive physical demands o the work.

Fortunee plans to major in Business and Communications, and will graduate Kepler with a BA from an accredited US university. After graduating, she wants to either pursue an MBA, or work at a startup. At Kepler, she hopes to refine her skills in technology, while approaching everything she does with courage and perseverence.
