Maria (the first one on the left of the photo, wearing light blue striped blouse) is a 42 year old woman. She is single and has a beautiful family of three children, who are between 15 and 26 years old. This humble family lives in a community of the Yoxaja village. The lands of Guatemala are blessed with feminine hands that toil them. This is Maria's case, a woman and a mother whose goal is to give her family the best. For fifteen years, she has worked cultivating coffee. Because she lives in one of the most fertile areas, she takes advantage of Mother Earth to generate her income. Due to necessity, Maria has decided to request a loan in ADICLA because it is one of the institutions that supports the work of women. With this loan she will pay for hand labor and will buy fertilizers to maintain the coffee, and in this way to get a good harvest this year. Maria's greatest dream is to increase the crops in order to have more income.
