A loan helped a member to fund the expansion of her petty shop business.

Chaokhatminnaba Group's story

The women in Bishnupur district of Manipur work hard to sustain their families. One such woman is Noni. She runs a petty shop business of her own. She caters to the demand in her village, but she sees a scope for expansion.

She believes if she expands her business to sell rice, sugar, oil, potatoes, etc., she will earn more than the INR 3,600 she earns every month at present. She lives with her husband and three children. She wants to earn more, since after meeting all expenses, she is barely able to save anything.

Prema, Indu, Ithobi, Ibemhal, Leimahal, and Meipakpi also run their respective businesses like Noni. As the prices of commodities are going up, they feel that their current income would not be able to sustain their families. Hence, they want to expand their businesses and increase their income. For this, they have come together to form a group led by Noni to apply for a loan.

Your loan would help these families keep up with the rising prices and lead a contented life.

In this group: Noni, Prema, Ibemhal, Indu, Ithoibi, Leimahal, Meipakpi
