Mrs. Thoan, 32 years old, is a Thai ethnic woman. Her family has three members, including her husband, her daughter and herself. Her family is living in Mai Son district, Son La province.
Her family’s main income is from cultivation, so the income after deducting costs is just enough to cover their living expenses and save a small amount. Because she has to pay for her daughter’s education fee, the saved amount is not enough to buy fertilizer for the coffee field. Therefore, she wants to borrow a loan for this purpose.
