Anita is 20 years old and Ecuadorian, single, and was born in the city of Latacunga. Thanks to the effort of her parents she was able to finish secondary school, but due to the lack of resources was not able to continue studying at university, which lead her to work from a young age to be able to support her needs and those of her family.
Despite being young, Ana has many hopes and dreams, and today dreams of having her own business and specifically a dressmaking workshop. Anita and her family live in their own house in the city of Latacunga, which belongs to the Cotopaxi province. The economy of this area and the majority of the people in the area make their living in the production of bricks.
Anita inherited the ability to tailor clothing from her mother and has experience in this occupation. Currently she works in a dressmaking shop. With the experience she has acquired over the years, she feels prepared to take a step forward and for this she is asking a loan that she will use in the implementation of her business. This will make Anita able to improve her lifestyle and that of her family. Anita appreciates the Fundacion Alternativa in Ecuador and Kiva for making her personal and professional growth possible.
