A loan helped to rent farm equipment and buy crop seeds and fertilizer.

Inn Ga Lone Village Group-1's story

This loan will help 29 members of the Inn Ga Lone Village Group-1. Pictured above (from left to right) are Htay, San, Yin and Kyin. The Featured Borrower, Htay, has a 23 acre paddy farm in the Delta region of Myanmar, and like many farmers in this area, savings are low before the harvest season.

Htay is a hardworking woman who has spent the last eight years paddy farming. This loan will help her purchase the necessary farming inputs, such as fertilizer and petrol for farm equipment.

Htay is 58 years old, married, and supports a family of seven (five children). In the near future, she wishes to grow her income by diversifying her business by planting betel trees. She hopes this will allow her to support her three children's education, who are attending 5th grade, 9th grade and Educational College.

The CBO leaders oversee the group of 29. The loan will help the group purchase farming essentials before harvest time. Inn Ga lone Village’s main focus is crop farming, as well as other seasonal plantation such as betel trees and flowers, for additional income.
