Inn Ga Lone Village Group-4's story

The fund will help 29 members of the Inn Ga Lone Village Group-4. Pictured above (from left to right) are Than, Hla, Tun, Ohmar and Chine. The featured borrower, Than, has a 13-acre crop farm in the Delta region of Myanmar, and like many farmers in this area, savings are low before the harvest season.

Also, additional income generated from these loans will help build secondary businesses for Than, as she is planning to do a betel trees plantation for the next season. Than is 56 years old, married, and supports a family of nine (seven children), the youngest of whom is in 5th grade. Part of the family’s income goes towards funding the childrens’ education.

The CBO leaders oversee the group of 29. The fund will help the group purchase farming essentials before harvest time. Inn Ga Lone Village’s main focus is crop farming, as well as other seasonal plantation such as betel trees and flowers for additional income.
