Like the majority of the inhabitants in a community in Mexico, Gegorio and Zenaida work raising and fattening small animals, and also they grow and harvest corn, broad beans, beans and squash.
However, they also work making resin crafts, which Gregorio learned how to do. Of the nine children that they have, six work full-time in this family business. Zenaida says proudly, "Sons and daughters-in-laws now are part of this economic activity that one day my husband began."
In the shop every day, they make different figures based on molds brought from the city. In this way, they make elephants, owls for graduation, and pencil holders, just to mention a few. When the merchandise is ready. Gregorio and his children travel to different places of the country to expand their market; they come back only when they have sold all of the figure.
What motivates Zenaida and Gegorio is to be able to support their children in realizing their dreams since in this way they will be able to offer a better quality of life to their grandchildren.
With the earnings and the previous loans they have acquired indispensable tools for their business. This time with the opportunity that VisionFund México offers them, they plan to purchase more raw material to increase their sales and in this way cover the household expenses.
