A loan helped to buy a coping saw, smoothing plane, planks, and furniture trimming braid.

Maria Winnie's story

At only 20 years of age, Winnie is busy juggling her business and her three-year-old daughter.

Winnie is a carpenter. She makes household furniture on order. Being a young girl in a male dominated industry means that Winnie has to work extra hard and create more unique pieces in order to succeed.

She is asking for a loan to buy new equipment as well as replace some old ones. These include planes, a coping saw, and planks. She says with new equipment she will increase productivity as well as improve the quality of her pieces.

Winnie hopes to one day create employment by owning a workshop that manufactures and supplies furniture across the entire nation.
