Nasra S., age 39, is married with three children, ages 14, 9 and 3. She has a charcoal and fish businesses that she started 3 years ago. She works daily from 8am until 6pm. She is able to earn a monthly profit of about $.218.
This will be Nasra’s fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the three previous loans to improve both of her businesses and has repaid the loans successfully. She now hopes for a new loan to increase her fish stock.
Nasra will share this loan with subgroup B of the Jamaica group. The subgroup has 6 members who run stationeries, and sell fish, charcoal, and clothes. These members hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
