A loan helped to buy potato and onion seeds for planting.

Fatbardha's story

This is Fatbardha, or "Good Luck" in English, who is in her 50s and is a married mother of two. She is requesting your financial help to buy potato and onion seeds for planting.

Fatbardha has been in the agricultural sector for the past 24 years, practicing the activity on her own. She lives in the region of Korca, known for the largest production of onions, potatoes, beans (those ones sold in their dried form to whole-buyers) and apple and quince fruits. On the six dynyms (1 dynym is equal to 1,000 square meters) of agricultural land that she owns, and on the other six that are in the possession of her brother-in-law who immigrated to the United States about twenty years ago, she plants potatoes, onions, garlic, and corn, and has fruit orchards as well.

Fatbardha’s husband works in a corn mill for a pay of about $200/month, while her younger son does seasonal work in Greece.
