Manuela (the first to the right wearing the green blouse) is from the community of Xejuyup. She is 32 years old, single and has a 3 years old daughter. Manuela is a hard-working and responsible woman who for 10 years has been growing bananas. She does this with the ambition of obtaining income to be able to support her family. Manuela likes this activity as she likes nature and because since she was little she helped her parents grow bananas.
Manuela planted some bananas a few days ago that need maintenance and she has to buy fertilizer to do this and pay for labor. The current price of fertilizer is very high. So it is for this reason that she has organized a group of women who have the same need to request a loan to be able to buy fertilizer and pay for labor. Manuela's dream is to be able to get this loan to have good harvests and continue to increase her production.
