Yolanda (second from the left in the photograph, wearing a brown shirt) is a 19-year-old woman, she is single and she lives with her parents in a community of Xojola, and she has a 3-year-old son.
Yolanda, in spite of being very young, already has a family which she has to support. She got together with her husband at a very young age. Yolanda loves her family very much. To obtain her income, she works in banana production, as she lives in a fertile area and produces good bananas. She has this occupation because her whole family has the same occupation. Yolanda has been producing this for the last 5 years. She has planted banana trees that needs maintenance, but one of the limitations is that she does not have enough capital to do it, so she has organized a group of people who also work in the same occupation, to ask for a loan which will be used to purchase fertilizers and to pay the workers.
Yolanda’s dream is to be able to get this loan to keep expanding her banana crops.
