A loan helped a member to buy manure and fertilizer to improve crop yields which will assist to cover school costs of her children.


Zeka Women Group's story

The person standing on the left-hand side in the photo is Nancy. She is a 46-year-old married mother of four children who are in primary school. Hand in Hand, Eastern Africa’s training program, have helped her improve and acquire knowledge on enterprise management, record keeping and also financial management.
She is a vegetable farmer. She is requesting a Kiva loan to buy fertilizer and manure. This will help improve the crop yield. She looks forward to improved incomes that will assist in providing school fees for her children.
Nancy is happy for Kiva and their lenders and promises to repay the loan promptly.
