A loan helped to buy agricultural supplies to help in the cultivation of potatoes.

Alvertina's story

Alvertina is 42 years old and makes a living through the sowing and cultivation of potatoes. She is the mother of three children who help her in the fields together with her partner. Her parents, who are also farmers, taught her and transmitted to her the knowledge necessary so that in her own time she would be able to make a living from this activity. Since in her family agriculture is an activity that has been practiced for generations as the primary means of earning a living, this knowledge has been passed on.

Her potato crops are located a few meters from her home. Her family is engaged only in the maintenance of the crop and sometimes, if they have the resources, they can pay laborers for a more profitable application of the agricultural supplies and other related activities.

She is applying for financing in order to buy fertilizer and other items that will help them protect their potato crop from the "paratrioza," which is a white pest that affects the plant until it rots. As a female producer who is a visionary woman and who desires each day and with each crop to obtain the best profit possible, she will increase her crop in this way and continue expanding her plot of land and providing greater wealth and earnings for her family.
