A loan helped to buy clothes to sell.

Phionah's story

Phiona lives in Bufunda, just a few metres away from Ibanda town. She is married with three children, all in school.

She runs a boutique in Ibanda town. She deals mainly in ladies’ clothes. Her customers are passersby and the people around town.

She has applied for a loan of UGX 2,000,000 to help her buy stock of more clothes to sell so that she can maximize profits. She is assured of a large clientele, since more middle and low class people wear used clothing. She will use the rest of the money to pay school fees for her children. Her major challenge is limited capital to run her business.

Despite the few challenges, Phionah is a very hardworking woman who thanks Kiva lenders through UGAFODE for the commendable job they are doing.
