A loan helped to grow her business by increasing the money that she uses to serve customers on a daily basis.

Chali's story

Chali, 25 years old, is friendly and very determined. She runs her own business, which provides financial services to people in her community. Chali lives in Kitwe with her two brothers and two sisters. Three of her siblings are unemployed and one sister is in college.

Chali has overcome many hardships in her life. She lost both her parents and had to step up and help her siblings. She values family and works very hard to support them. She enjoys running her business because she gets to interact with people on a daily basis. This keeps her in very high spirits. Chali believes that her business benefits the people in her community by providing a safe environment that is not intimidating. Her customers do not have to complete any forms to transact with her.

Chali is requesting a loan in order to increase her float, which is the money that Chali uses on a daily basis to run her business. Increasing her float will help Chali to serve more customers in her community who need access to financial services.

This is Chali’s first loan. She hopes that it will help her grow her business so that she can earn more profits, which will make it much easier for Chali to continue supporting her family. She thanks Kiva lenders.
