A loan helped to buy fertilizers.

Yoy's story

Yoy, 56 years old, is originally from Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She is a mother of seven children; two are single and live under her support, while the other five are married and live independently. To make a living, she manages and operates a farming business, primarily growing and selling rice on a small piece of farmland located near her house. This business allows her to earn 4 USD a day, on average. So far, she has been in this business for more than twenty years.

In this farming season, she is going to use natural fertilizers on her farmland. Because there is a shortage of money, she would like to get a Kiva loan via HKL to buy fertilizers to use in her farming process. With the support of this loan, she hopes that the fertilizers can make her rice grow better and produce more crops for her.
