Isaac, aged 74, is a member of Nyame Nhyehyie Group. He is happily married with six children, the youngest of whom is still attending school. He lives with his family in Abura Koforidua in Central Region of Ghana.
Isaac has been a farmer for the past 20 years and so has gained much experience. He grows oranges and cocoa on two separate farms. He belongs to a farming association that facilitates price negotiations and the marketing of the crops of members. While he is an enterprising and hardworking man, Isaac's age is making it hard for him to maintain the farms by himself.
Isaac needs hired laborers to weed his farms, and needs to buy fertilizer and food fly traps, but there is the problem of how to finance that. Isaac needs microloan support to enable him to meet the financial needs of his farm in order to maximise crop yield and income. He will use his profits from the farms to pay for his last child's school fees and support his family.
Isaac thanks all his microlenders for their generous assistance.
