A loan helped a member to purchase rice and oil in bulk to sell to customers.

God's Time Group's story

The group is made up of nine members, with eight females and one male. They live in the same neighborhood and are into the trading of foodstuffs, eggs, ornamentals, wigs, groceries, maize, banku (cook corn dough), onions and secondhand clothing. The group needs a total amount of 7,600 GHS to expand their businesses. They will hold each other responsible for the repayment of the loan.

Gladys, who sells products such as rice and oil, is very excited to receive her third loan from ID-Ghana, after having repaid her previous loans and thus taken a step towards expanding her business. With this loan, she is planning to use 1,000 GHS to purchase rice and oil in bulk and sell to customers. Gladys says that her most important challenge and goal is to set up a store where she can sell all of her items instead of going outside and walking in her community and others nearby. She enjoys being at home with her eight-year-old child. Gladys is planning to reinvest her profits in her business and save for her future plans and challenges.

In this group: Gladys, Doris, Thomas, Atswei, Charllote, Gertrude, Regina, Joyce, Mary
