The Al- Ikhlas goupr consists of four women from the city of Hodeidah, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 200,000 YER from AMB.
Iman, 34 years old, is married and has four children. Iman lives with her family in their own house in a poor area of Hodeidah. She is an educated woman with a diploma certificate in computer science. She works as a teacher in a private school, earning a small salary. She decided to work as a teacher in order to help her husband cover some of the family's expenses. Iman's husband sells vegetables in the streets under the sunshine. His income is also not enough to cover all of the family's expenses.
Iman wants to help her husband improve the family's living conditions. Hodiedah has a hot climate year round, particularly in the summer season. Unfortunately, the family's air conditioner has became very old and they need to buy a new one. Iman is requesting a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB in order to purchase a new air conditioner for the house.
Iman looks forward to taking another loan from Kiva in order to renovate the inside of her old house.
