A loan helped to perform maintenance on her banana crop.

Pascuala's story

There is no lack of enterprising women in the country of eternal springtime, Guatemala. Women make up an important part of the labor force. This is the case with Pascuala, age 38, She has three children, and they attend the community school.

The business activity that she proudly engages in is banana production in the fertile fields of her community. She has been doing this work for 25 years, and it generates good income for her family. The business is the legacy that her father was able to leave her so that she would have a better quality of life in the future.

Pascuala will use the loan that she is requesting for maintenance of the bananas. She will do this so that they produce their fruit and are taken to the community markets to sell.

Her dream is to plant more bananas on the fertile fields that she has. This way she wants to support the environment and also get a financial benefit so that her family can become professionals in the future.
