Sevil's story

Sevil is 64 years old, married, and the mother of four children. Her husband is a teacher at school, but his earnings from this job are not enough. The main source of income for family is farming. Sevil raises and sells seasonal vegetables such as pumpkin, cucumber, potatoes, and so on. She has been raising them and selling at the local bazaar for 24 years and has good experience in this area. Her monthly income is 200 AZN.

Vegetables are in high demand in Azerbaijan because people like to use them for fresh salads and delicious national dishes. They attend local groceries and buy there fresh and tasty vegetables. They know that vegetables raised in private gardens are always fresh and without pesticides. Sevil needs money to cover family’s demands. She applied for 1,200 AZN in order to supply quality fertilizers and increase harvest and income.
