A loan helped a member to buy materials to make typical embroideries.

Los Del Sector Quino Group's story

The streets of Quiché are witness to the most attractive colors that permeate the typical blouses and belts. It is impossible for any tourist to not admire this product, to stop, and to make a good purchase.

Juana has been responsible for this tourist attraction (in the photo she is in the middle of the three that are sitting on the floor weaving with blue thread). She is 22 years old, married, and has a three year old daughter. She has been making and selling typical blouses and belts for several years. She also has a business of selling chickens to fatten.

That is why she is part of a group of people who engage in the same trade. She is part of the group so that they can support each other in sales and the diversification of the product and to add the sale of handicrafts. Then they will be able to satisfy their customers’ needs and their personal needs.

That is the reason that Juana is requesting a loan to help her have greater satisfaction in her business.

In this group: Juana, Catarina, Nicolasa, Lucía
