A loan helped to buy whiteboards and other classroom supplies.

Mehnaz's story

Mehnaz is 27 years old, has a Master’s degree and is passionate about spreading literacy. That is why she has spent many years teaching at a school in her community. A year ago she started her own secondary school where she attempts to provide quality education to children who live nearby. She wants her school to change for the better and for the community to see this change. When she started running the school it had only 45 students, but now the number has increased to over 150. She uses the income from the school to help manage her household expenses. However, making investments in school infrastructure has left her with limited capital resources for making further improvements to the school. She wishes to buy whiteboards and other classroom supplies. For this reason, she has applied for a loan for 100,000 PKR to Kashf Foundation. This will allow her to continue fulfilling her dream of providing children with education and contributing more money to her household income.
