Maria, 36, has a primary school level education which is what she was able to complete. She is a married mother of 4 children. Three are the top students in their school in their community. They help out after school in different tasks in the field and at home. Her husband is the one who spends the most time in the fields because she is preparing food for her husband and children, cleaning their clothes, and other tasks that she completes in addition to working in the field. Her husband also has another income which is very useful for keeping her family and home ahead of various expenses. He is a truck driver.
They are farmers by tradition. Her parents taught her to work in the field in order to generate revenue. One of their needs is to build a basin for water conservation which will be used for a working tool for washing clothes on a concrete block and as a tub for water storage. Maria asks to be supported from the various lenders on the Kiva platform to carry out the construction of the water basin which will help her better carry out her activities which are difficult right now. Her dreams and goals are to have good harvests to support her family in the best way that she can and support their studies so that her children can have a better life.
