A loan helped to pay for seeds, fertilizer and hire workers.

Arevhat's story

Arevhat is a divorced woman who lives with her two children who are 11 and 12 years old.

Arevhat is a lawyer but is currently unemployed. She owns a plot of land but because of financial difficulties, is unable to cultivate it. She requests 1,200 USD to purchase seeds, fertilizer and hire workers.

She will be very grateful to lenders if they support the development of her agribusiness.

Arevhat has previously taken a loan from local financial institutions but because of very difficult financial conditions, wasn't able to pay it back on time. Now, by ensuring that her agribusiness is successful and making monthly payments, Arevhat has been approved for this loan. She has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
