Channa is a rural villager from Kampong Cham province and she is 38 years old. She is a married mother and blessed with four schoolchildren.
To feed her family, she grows rice as the main source of income. She also earns extra income via bean planting and her husband has an occupation as a musician for fee. Engaged with this business for 20 years, she is able to earn up 22,200 KHR per day.
This is the second-time loan for her with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) and she is a leader of a group consisting of four members. As a leader, she will spend her entire loan portion to buy bean seeds and to pay for plowing cost. She hopes this business will enable her to support her kids to study to reach a higher level.
