Marina is 33 years old who earns her living in agriculture and selling vegetables. She seeks to earn her daily bread selling inside and outside of her community without neglecting her coffee crops. She had completed up to the third year of elementary school and could not continue because of economic problems. She is the mother of 2 children who are minors and of school age. She makes many sacrifices as a single mother. Her parents taught her at an early age to grow coffee. It is a family business and brings household income for sustenance and buying clothing, food, and medicines with some limitations.
Her goals are to have land that is 100% dedicated to the production of coffee that produces enough to get a desirable profit. Because she is a single parent, the future of her children depends on her work that she does everyday to get by. At present, she is requesting funding to purchase agricultural inputs to assist her coffee crops such as fertilizers, manure, and more. In the area where she lives, shops sell these products at very expensive prices taking advantage of the need of the consumers.
