Xexac 1.1 Group's story

Manuela (first on the left in the photo) is 42 years old and single. She lives with her two children in Nahualá, Sololá.

Manuela is very proud of her work selling bananas. Bananas are popular in her community, making sales profitable. Manuela learned this trade from her parents 35 years ago. She likes to do this work and, with it, she earns a good living and good profits with which to support her family economy.

Manuela has been doing this work since she was very young, and she is now very knowledgeable about her work. As a result she has taken the decision to start a group in order to diversify her products for the market and earn more money for the families of her group's members. This loan will be used to buy supplies for looking after her banana plants.

Manuela's dream is to build a house for her children.
