A loan helped to pay for cultivation costs and purchase fertilizer and seeds.

Lida's story

Lida lives in Hatsik village with her husband and 27-year-old daughter. Her daughter is a teacher at a local school and Lida and her husband are running the farm. They are mainly involved in land cultivation. Near the house where they live, Lida and her husband cultivate tomatoes, cabbage, watermelons, peppers and grow apricot trees. They are farmers with many years of experience, so they get a good harvest and sell it locally.

Lida has now applied for this loan to be able to cover cultivation costs and purchase fertilizer and seeds. This is her first loan. It has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history.

Lida and her family will be very grateful if lenders support her farming business and they hope for support.
