A loan helped to buy raw materials for her husbands furniture making business.

Shazia's story

Shazia is a 41-year-old mother of three children. She is a responsible housewife and looks after her family at home. She lives in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is very hard working, gracious and honest woman.

Shazia's husband owns a furniture shop in which he makes different furniture items such as sofas, beds, chairs, iron stands, safe almirahs etc for selling. He has been running this furniture shop for many years and earns a good profit from the business. Now, he wants to establish his business by purchasing new plastic furniture, wood, and some raw materials for making new designs of furniture items. Due to household expenses, his savings are not enough to buy the desired items. Therefore, Shazia requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband can buy plastic furniture, wood and other raw materials for the development of the business.

Shazia thanks Kiva and appreciates the warm support to her.
