A loan helped to buy bales of clothes.

Rosette's story

Rosette is a 42-year-old businesswoman dealing in secondhand clothes, a business she has done since 2004. She is a widow and a mother of four children, aged 22, 20, 18, and 13, all of whom are in school.

The secondhand clothes business is her sole source of income. She works four days a week and twelve hours per day. The business is located in a rural area in Ward 11 - Mitooma sub-county.

She hopes to use the loan of two million shillings only to buy bales of clothes, which she will sell at a profit. Local people and traders are her main clients. She hopes to serve them with a variety of clothes if she gets the loan, and she has hopes that this will increase her profits, which will help her to educate her children.

Lack of enough capital is what challenges her most, but she hopes that it will cease to be a challenge if the loan is granted.
