Regina's story

Regina is married and a mother of four children. They all live in a three bedroom apartment house in Bamenda, the North West Region of Cameroon. She has faced some challenges in life, a few to mention are the sickness and loss of her pigs and poverty to start up a business.

With this new loan she has requested, she will invest in buying sewing materials, fertilizer and farm seedling. She holds a positive view of this business succeeding because she has been doing it for a long time and furthermore, she has been trained on sewing and farm work. With this business activity, the community will benefit from her moderate price selling, providing food and clothing for a rapidly increasing population.

With the profit from this loan, she will cater for her family's needs; ensure her children's education and; provide food for the family. She prefers loans from GHAPE because of low interest rates, convenient repayment intervals and also the members are trained on marketing and management skills before the loans are disbursed.
