Norma Lidia is a young entrepreneur with many hopes and dreams of getting ahead. She is 21 years old, single, has no children, and lives with her parents. Her family are farmers and their income depends on the work they do in the fields, such as raising coffee. She supports her parents very much in the fields, doing different things such as weeding, composting, harvesting, etc. She has been doing this for six years and it was they who taught her to work the land. They also raise corn and beans and work the land together, which is located 2 km from their home and they travel there by car. Challenges she faces include plant diseases such as “roya”, “ojo de gallo,” icing, and natural climate changes. Competition is not a problem and she can sell her harvest and generate income for her family and household.
