Kulnara's story

Kulnara is 51 years old, married and raising a daughter together with her husband. Kulnara has a secondary education. To provide the primary income for her family, Kulnara is involved in animal husbandry and farming, having started 16 years ago with a purchase of livestock with 35,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Kulnara's hard work, today her business contains 4 dairy cows, 1 horse, 5 sheep, chickens and also has 1.5 hectares of land, where she annually grows potatoes and sows cereal crops. The monthly income amounts to 8,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Kulnara requested a loan in the amount of 35,000 som (KGS) from the microfinance bank "Bai-Tushum and Partners" to buy a cow in order to increase livestock headcount. Kulnara plans to invest the earnings from the loan into further increasing domestic livestock quantities.
