Mrs. Trieu, 58, works in agricultural production with a monthly income of approximately 700,000 VND ($33). She is married and has three children in high school.
Her family does not have a sanitary, hygienic toilet facility in their home. However, she is participating in a campaign through her local Women's Union to improve the community's sanitation and hygiene. With a portion of this loan, Trieu will use the funds to build a sanitary toilet with a septic tank and a hand-washing device with soap that will improve living conditions, improve the health of family members and help protect the environment.
