A 50-year-old mother of seven children, Chanty resides in a rural village of Pursat province’s Sampov Meas district, Cambodia. To earn a living, she has been farming rice on five hectares of farmland. She can earn about KHR 40,000 per day from the current business and can save about KHR 20,000 each day for their future needs.
This will be Chanty's first loan with Kiva’s partner VisionFund. As the leader of her borrower group, Chanty will use her portion of the loan to buy fertilizers for her farmland. She hopes to increase her family’s business and gain more income.
